Coaching for Workplace Success

Newswise — Women of the baby boom generation experience similar problems in the workplace. They are caregivers of two generations; their children who live at home and their ageing parents. These women are referred to as the 'sandwich generation'. Problems on the job are often related to their stressful lives.

A new column written by Jennifer Wright in the IOS Press journal WORK, A Journal of Prevention, Assessment and Rehabilitation, will directly address this important issue. It will present practical solutions for middle aged women that have to juggle their lives and are trying to please everybody. Consequently, they have little time for themselves.

Jennifer Wright, an early baby boomer herself, left her job as an assistant professor of occupational therapy to find out who she really was. Wright left Indianapolis (USA) and moved to the other side of the world; New Zealand. There, she started working as a life coach for women dealing with mid-life crisis related issues, which ultimately affect women in the work place. Her businesses are Wright Direction Coaching and Mid-Life Heroine, which she co-owns with Seattle based Chris Rummer. Both business serve mid-life women globally.
