Who: Explorer and scientist Dr. Robert Ballard, professor of oceanography at the University of Rhode Island, president of Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration, explorer-in-residence at the National Geographic Society, and founder of the Jason Foundation for Education.

What:On the 92nd anniversary of its sinking, Ballard will announce his return expedition to the Titanic in June.

The briefing will outline the expedition and feature the three remotely-operated vehicles Ballard and his partners will be using, the command center that will be aboard the research ship, and the technology that will be used to send live video and audio pictures of the expedition to URI, Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration, National Geographic and other sites across the country, while the mission is underway.

National Geographic Channel will televise a "Return to Titanic" program on June 7, including elements broadcast live underwater from the research vessel. Mystic Aquarium will open a complementary "Return to Titanic" exhibit on April 15.
