Scott Pace is the director of GW’s Space Policy Institute. Dr. Pace is an expert on civil, commercial and national security space policy. He has worked at both NASA and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. John Logsdon, professor emeritus of political science and international affairs and founder of GW's Space Policy Institute, can comment on the policy and historical aspects of U.S. and international space activities. Zoe Szajnfarber, associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering and of international affairs, is an expert on innovation and technology in the space sector. Dr. Szajnfarber has done extensive empirical work with NASA, the European Space Agency and the Department of Defense. Henry Hertzfeld, research professor of space policy and international affairs, is an expert on space law and also on the economic aspects of space applications and terrestrial benefits. Dr. Hertzfeld focuses on these issues and has conducted many economic studies and also legal analyses related to NASA, the U.S. space program and international space activities. Kris Lehnhardt, assistant professor of emergency medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, specializes in aerospace medicine. Dr. Lehnhardt can comment on health challenges astronauts face.

Bethany Cobb Kung is an assistant professor of honors and physics. She focuses on astrophysics including gamma-ray bursts, time-domain and astronomy.

Alexander van der Horst, assistant professor of physics, is an expert on astrophysics, including radio and gamma-ray astronomy.
