Newswise — (November 21, 2012; Toronto) – The second annual Dance To Conquer Cancer, Disco Days & Boogie Nights, raising funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, will take place on March 3, 2013, and will feature fitness guru Richard Simmons and three-time Grammy Award winners, the Pointer Sisters!

On March 3, participants take up the challenge to dance 10,000 steps and recreate the dance moves from the disco era (no special skills necessary). The afternoon begins with a three-hour dance-a-thon, including a session led by Richard Simmons. If you don’t feel like dancing, take a break and shop the overflowing silent auction with unique experiences and get beautified by the Beauty Bar sponsored by Blo Bar and Bailey Cosmetics.

In the evening, the disco ball starts to spin for Boogie Nights. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner during an evening filled with great music led by the Pointer Sisters. The group’s hits include ‘Jump,’ ‘I’m So Excited,’ ‘Slow Hand’ and ‘He’s So Shy.’

The event promises to be a memorable day complete with vivid colours and lively music to help raise funds for Personalized Cancer Medicine at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer centres in the world.
