Newswise — MAYWOOD, Ill. – Kelly M. Feehan, JD, MS, has been named executive director of Research Administration and Business Development of Loyola University Chicago Health Sciences Division.

Ms. Feehan will be responsible for sponsored grants and contract administration. She also will direct business planning for new ventures and work to ensure regulatory, financial and financial compliance in research. She begins May 4.

Ms. Feehan earned a master’s degree in health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a law degree from the John Marshall Law School. She comes to Loyola from Huron Consulting Group in Chicago, where she has served as manager, Research Services, Higher Education and Life Sciences Consulting. She previously was research manager at the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and regulatory affairs coordinator at Northwestern Center for Clinical Research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

“She brings a wealth of relevant results-proven experience in many aspects of research,” said Linda Brubaker, MD, MS, interim provost of Loyola’s Health Sciences Division. “Her background is seasoned with business acumen, strategic planning and consensus building.”
