Craig and Sharon Ramey. In their new book "Going to School -- How to Help Your Child Succeed," the Rameys say studies show parents often feel rushed and always behind schedule. They suggest a review to determine which activities are essential to the family's goals and values. Ask if an activity achieves results that make sense based on the time and money you have to invest.
