Newswise — Holmdel, NJ - Meridian Cancer Care proudly welcomes Catherine Campo, D.O., a fellowship trained breast oncology surgeon specializing in breast surgery. Dr. Campo’s extensive training and expertise in the treatment and removal of breast cancer will both enhance and expand the capabilities of Meridian Cancer Care’s Breast Program

Dr. Campo completed her general surgery residency and internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey, and her fellowship training in breast oncology surgery at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. She received her medical degree from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Dr. Campo is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Campo’s recent physician presentations include “Breast Cancer: What is High Risk?” and “Carcinoma of the Breast and Benign Breast Diseases.”

As a member of the Meridian Cancer Care Team, Dr. Campo will be primarily based at Bayshore Community Hospital as well as Riverview Medical Center.
