Lospinuso, M.D., chief of Spine Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, recently attended the 2013 Advanced Deformity Visitation led by Dr. Deszo Jeszensky, a world renowned spine surgeon who practices at the Schulthess Klinik in Switzerland. The medical congress, attended by spine surgeons recognized for their commitment to innovation in spine surgery, was a three day exchange of the field’s most advanced practices.

The congress took place from Sunday, July 28 to Thursday, August 1 at Schulthess Klinik – an orthopedic center of excellence specializing in sophisticated treatments of the musculoskeletal system for patients with joint, back, hand and foot disorders. Dr. Lospinuso and other spine surgeons reviewed complex spinal surgery cases and participated in spinal procedures. Dr. Lospinuso also presented complex cases to the group, focusing on spine fractures caused by trauma and adult spinal deformities, such as spinal stenosis.

As chief of Spine Surgery at Jersey Shore, Dr. Lospinuso directs a comprehensive spine program. He and his team specialize in all aspects of complex spinal surgery, including microsurgery, artifical disc replacement, spondylothesis and cervical spine surgery.
