Newswise — Research related to Barth Syndrome conducted in part by Pacific University School of Pharmacy assistant professor Ashim Malhotra, "Tafazzins from Drosophila and Mammalian Cells Assemble in Large Protein Complexes with a Short Half-Life," appeared in the March 2015 edition of Mitochondrion.
The research provides a better understanding of the role the gene tafazzin plays in those who develop Barth Syndrome, a genetic disorder that adversely affects the cardivascular system in males.
