Photonics Center Symposium Looks at How Light Based Technologies are Changing Our World

(Boston, Mass.) ó Preview the products and technologies that will change the way we live and work at ìPhotonics: Driving the Economy of the Future,î an inaugural symposium at the Boston University Photonics Center, on Thursday, October 23, 1997.

Throughout the day, speakers representing leading high tech corporations like Lockheed Martin, Polaroid, Hewlett Packard and Corning as well as government leaders, like Mary Good, Former Under Secretary for Technology, US Department of Commerce, will explore the growing importance of photonics to a wide spectrum of industries ranging from telecommunications to health care.
