Newswise — Baylor University will host a press conference at 1:25 p.m. (Central Time) October 7 at the Southwest Securities Financial Markets Center in the Hankamer School of Business. The event will be streamed live on the Internet at http://www.baylor.edu/freetrade as it occurs.

At the press conference representatives of key trade regions will make statements concluding their discussions made at the Free Trade in the Americas Conference, including a statement made by Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, secretary general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and outgoing director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Leading scholars and officials from Canada, the United States and Latin America will meet to discuss trade issues at the Free Trade in the Americas Conference, which will be held October 6-7 at Baylor University.
