What:The deadline for media housing requests for the AACR 102nd Annual Meeting 2011 is Friday, Feb. 25. A limited number of rooms have been set aside for editors and reporters, and we cannot guarantee that housing will be available after that date.

The annual meeting will feature the latest findings in laboratory, translation and clinical research. More than 6,000 abstracts will be presented at the meeting, including:

• nicotine supplements and tumor growth promotion;• cancer risk among people with AIDS, diabetes and metabolic syndrome;• the affects of soy on breast cancer risk in a 20,000-patient study;• new information on the role of HPV in lung cancer risk;• beer consumption and risk of stomach cancer;• improving the predictive value of the PSA test; and,• new ways of diagnosing lung cancer.
