June 14, log onto http://WOW.UAB.EDU to join Barbara Hilyer and Sam Hansen of the UAB School of Business Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR) as they travel to the Hopi and Navajo reservations in Arizona to learn more about the emergency response training needs of these Native American communities.

WOW.UAB.EDU is an interactive, regularly updated Web site that shares the discoveries of UAB researchers and students as they work around the world.

The CLEAR team will post photographs and journal entries as they work with tribal police, fire and emergency response teams to find the balance between maintaining traditions that call for isolation and embracing technologies and new ways of working together in the face of modern environmental threats.
