The Supreme Court will be handing down decisions in high-profile cases in the next few weeks, including Obergefell v. Hodges which aims to clarify states' rights in recognizing same-sex marriages.

Wendy Bach, associate professor of law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, teaches Family Law as well as clinics and seminars at the College of Law. Bach's work has been published in the Wisconsin, Brooklyn, and Michigan Law Reviews, as well as the Yale Journal of Law and Feminism. In Family Law this spring, Bach focused on the jurisprudence leading up to Obergefell v. Hodges. "There is almost no question that, regardless of its outcome, Obergefell will be one of the most important Supreme Court cases in recent history," said Bach.
