Newswise — Holmdel, NJ – August 8, 2014 –Bayshore Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Richard Greco, D.O., a fellowship trained bariatric surgeon, to the center for Bariatrics at Bayshore.

Dr. Greco joins Bayshore’s medical staff after completing his fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Prior to his fellowship training, Dr. Greco completed residency training at St. Joseph's Regional Medical and Trauma Center in Paterson, NJ, where he served as chief surgical resident and was one of the four original founding surgical residents.

Dr. Greco is the recipient of the SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Award, and has contributed to a number of poster presentations, and remains active as a member of professional organizations in the field including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.

The Center for Bariartics at Bayshore is a designated ‘Level 1 Center of Excellence’ by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
