To raise awareness of the important role of the medical librarian, Wolters Kluwer is pleased to announce the winners of its 2014, “Secrets to Successful Rollouts: Revealed!” video contest.

Each 3-minute video tells the story about how the librarian introduced evidence-based resources to their institution’s students, clinicians or researchers to support decision-making on patient care and healthcare learning. The 2014 winners include:• First Place: JBI Lunch & Launch at Scotiabank Health Sciences Library, St. Michael’s Hospital (Ontario, Canada); $5,000 USD.• Second Place: My Secret…, Lavery Library/ St. John Fisher College (New York, USA); $2,500 USD • Third Place: VA New England, VA New England (Massachusetts, USA); $1,000 USD

The video contest was designed to give medical librarians and information professionals a place to educate health professionals and the general public about the essential role medical librarians play in the successful roll out of information solutions to their patrons. Winners were selected by a panel of clinicians, medical librarians, and publishers, including representatives from Wolters Kluwer Health and outside experts.
