ATLANTA – The American College of Rheumatology is pleased to announce the launch of a completely redesigned website (www.rheumatology.org) aimed at providing rheumatology healthcare professionals and patients with top quality content and resources. The new website combines a user-friendly design with accessible navigation, a robust internal search engine, visitor personas that allow users to quickly find relevant content, and a responsive design that adapts to each visitor’s viewing platform to provide an optimal user experience.

In addition to the improved design and functionality, users will find new and enhanced features that include:

• A new “My Account” area for members that allows them to manage their personal information, online communities, CME credits, educational activities and more from a single dashboard.

• A “Find a Rheumatologist” directory that allows patients to quickly search for pediatric and/or adult rheumatologist by city, state or geographical proximity to a desired zip code and a new “Find a Member” resource for ACR and ARHP members.

• A new Professional Learning Center that serves as a central hub for physicians and health professionals interested in educational opportunities and supplemental resources such as evidence-based research, College publications, grant opportunities and professional development opportunities.

• A dedicated patient and caregivers resource section that includes up-to-date patient information on common rheumatic diseases and treatments, articles on living with rheumatic disease, a glossary, a robust media library of patient testimonials and educational videos, and information about resources available to rheumatology patients provided by other organizations.

Additional improvements such as print, email and share icons give visitors a variety of options to share site content with their colleagues, patients, friends and family members in just one click; while new online forms and interactive icons have streamlined common tasks such as registering for events, becoming a member and requesting media interviews and credentials.

The website supports all major browsers, including: IE 10 and up, Mozilla, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Users on older platforms should upgrade their browser for an optimal experience.
