Click Here for Medical School Scoop
Want to get the "real" scoop on what it's really like to be a medical student at UAB? The school is making it easier for prospective medical school applicants to get acquainted by linking the applicants to medical students already enrolled at UAB. Twenty-one UAB medical students are available to answer questions via e-mail in the school's innovative 'Ask a Med Student' program.
"Our current students are our best ambassadors for describing the quality education and opportunities we offer," says George Hand, M.D., associate dean for admissions. From a link on the school's home page, prospective applicants are invited to write to any of the volunteers, whose name, photo, e-mail address and short bio are on the site.
