Larry Brown, Cornell University professor of geology in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, is the director of the Institute for the Study of the Continents. Equipment at his facility on Cornell’s Ithaca, N.Y. campus recorded today’s earthquake, and he and his faculty are available for interviews.
