Newswise — WASHINGTON—The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) will host an industry day, July 29, in Menlo Park, California, to connect technology startups and investors to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) mission in the areas of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Capabilities and Enhancing Airport Passenger Processing.

DHS S&T SVIP offers funding for early-stage startups with commercial technologies, adaptable and capable to protect the homeland. Not only will this event provide information about the program to the participating organizations and professionals, it also will allow a unique opportunity for the tech professionals in Silicon Valley and other innovation hubs arounds the country to engage with members of DHS S&T and familiarize themselves with the technological needs of DHS operators and end-users for future opportunities.
