Einstein Expert Available to Comment on HPV-associated Oral Cancer Highlighted in JNCI’s Annual Status of Cancer Report

Michael Prystowsky, M.D., Ph.D., is available to comment on The Journal of the National Cancer Institute’s Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, published Monday, January 7, 2013. Dr. Prystowsky, whose research focuses on head and neck cancers, can speak specifically to the report’s special-section highlighting the increase of HPV-associated cancers, its causes and steps people can take to prevent it in themselves and their children.
Dr. Prystowsky is professor and chair of pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. He oversees a multidisciplinary group that includes surgery, oncology, pathology, molecular biology, protein chemistry, systems biology, epidemiology and biostatistics to study the molecular mechanism regulating tumor behavior.
