Food Against Acne

Teenagers don't necessarily have to spend their movie money on over-the-counter specialty or prescription products to prevent acne. Many can keep the proper skin balance of oil and bacteria simply by using items found in their house - even with some food from their refrigerators. UAB plastic surgery medical aesthetician Adina Barnett says, "Regular cleansing of the skin with witch hazel and other items found in their medicine cabinet can help, along with facial masks they can make from milk, tomatoes, oatmeal and other foods." This type regimen provides cleansing, exfoliation and toning of oily, hormone-charged skin that aid in the prevention of major acne breakouts. Patients with severe cases should seek medical advice.
