About the Blogs
HotNews - This section of the blog will feature some of the best Newswise stories of the day, as well as discussions of breaking news events around the world and other topics of a general news interest.
New @ Newswise - This is where you will read about new services at Newswise as well as discussions and tips about media relations strategies.
PRwise - The PRwise blog will focus on content about media relations and public relations, and content of interest to the PRwise community on LinkedIn and Twitter, where public relations professionals connect to discuss the industry, especially the use of new media and social media in PR.
The PRwise blog will also explore the idea of a "natural history of news," where we examine the development of a story from press release through to the media coverage.
"News is a process, and in the new, online world of social media, it is more transparent and interactive," says Newswise founder and President Roger Johnson, also the principle blogger on the PRwise blog. "It's possible and fun to examine the natural history of news: how does it begin with a source, mature to the news media and ultimately morph to various outcomes. I plan to blog about the effectiveness of news releases as the source for news and how releases affect the natural history of news."
