Newswise — The Society for Women's Health Research will host a media-only teleconference on Thursday, September 20, 2007, to discuss results of a survey on older women and their knowledge of cholesterol and efforts to screen for it appropriately.

As part of the survey release, the Society is also providing information on its Web site (http://www.womenshealthresearch.org) about cholesterol screening and Medicare preventive services. Medicare has provided coverage for cardiovascular screening blood tests since January 2005.
