Even if your holiday calendar is full, you can avoid weight gain this season. ìNever go to a party hungry -- eat something before you go,î says UAB registered dietitian Kathy Hubbert, RD, MS. ìTaking a low-fat dish will be appreciated and will ensure that you have something you can eat.î Hubbert also suggests keeping a low-calorie, non-alcoholic beverage in your hand to provide less temptation to reach for food.
