Newswise — The Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Family Fireworks on the Navesink to support Riverview Medical Center Foundation. This fun-filled family event will be held at the DiPiero Family home, on the picturesque Navesink River, on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
“Riverview Medical Center plans to launch significant programs which will continue to build on the excellent health care we provide to our community,” shared Timothy Hogan, FACHE, regional hospital president for Monmouth County, Meridian Health. “The new multi-disciplinary cancer center is anticipated to open this summer and Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine is also anticipated to launch this year. Funds raised at the Family Fireworks on the Navesink will support programs and services like these to help further our mission and continue to strengthen our communities’ well-being.”
The Family Fireworks event will feature a premier barbecue buffet, a variety of food trucks, inflatable rides, games, and a breathtaking view of the fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. This is a family-friendly event where all parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their children and grandchildren.
“I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this event develop over the years,” explained Nancy Mulheren, chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. “It’s truly an event full of wonderful spirit and excitement for growth at our local hospital. All of this is embedded in one of our favorite traditions – fireworks on the Navesink.”
Last year’s event raised more than $100,000 in support of Riverview. “Now in our fourth year, we are hopeful that 2016 with be our most successful Family Fireworks yet,” shared Hilary DiPiero, event chair and Foundation trustee. “We have an extremely dedicated event committee that’s honored to be a part of such an important cause.”
