The PMCF is one of North America’s most successful social enterprises as measured by effectiveness and efficiency. “Almost every member of the team at The Princess Margaret has been touched by cancer in some way. To conquer cancer in our lifetime has a deep, personal meaning for many of us. It’s through the support of our donors that we see real impact, advancing research and clinical care to better support patients and their families,” said Paul Alofs, President and Chief Executive Officer at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Relentless in our quest to raise funds to conquer cancer, we launched a 5-year Billion Dollar Challenge in 2012, the most ambitious campaign undertaking in Canadian healthcare history. Setting ambitious goals is driven by our culture and our passion to perform and we are very close to reaching that billion dollar mark.
Our vision has inspired over 750,000 people to donate and engage in our fundraising campaigns. The PMCF provides inspiration plus structure, strategy, and funding for one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
Canada’s 10 Most Admired Cultures is now in its 12th year. It’s Canada’s only program to annually recognize best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that have helped enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.
