Babson junior Amar Khubani is founder and president of Before The Stores, LLC, a hybrid company that combines a market research firm and an ecommerce firm into one. The SBYA, established in 1959, is presented by the Babson College Alumni Association in recognition of an undergraduate student's outstanding commitment to launching and operating a successful enterprise while pursuing an education. Selection is based on initiative, character, originality, persistence and success, with emphasis on the learning experience. Winners exemplify Babson's entrepreneurial tradition. All three finalists will benefit from public relations assistance from Babson Institutional Advancement and an opportunity for business counseling from the Babson Alumni Resource Networks.

The award was announced during Celebrating Student Venturing ceremonies on this spring. This year's competition is sponsored by Pepper Hamilton and VistaPrint.
