Newswise — PHILADELPHIA – Leadership from Penn Medicine and Princess Grace Hospital of Monaco (CHPG), in the company of His Serene Highness Albert II, Prince of Monaco – whose mother, the late Princess Grace of Monaco was one of Philadelphia’s most beloved citizens – today announced a new strategic alliance that will provide Monegasque citizens, residents and the international community customized access to Penn’s leading physicians and facilities. The new venture, Grace-Penn Medicine Concierge Service, allows patients in Monaco and throughout the world to have access to the most innovative new treatments in medicine.

Larry Jameson, MD, PhD, executive vice president of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and dean of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. “This expanded relationship not only benefits patients by providing unprecedented access to leading-edge specialized care, but also provides a forum for the direct exchange of innovative research ideas and collaborative opportunities across both institutions.”
In 2013, Penn Medicine hosted His Serene Highness during an event to celebrate collaboration on educational initiatives and clinical protocols in cardiovascular medicine and oncology. With the formation of Grace-Penn Medicine Concierge Services, the institutions will expand the alliance across the full spectrum of medical care.
The only public hospital in the Principality of Monaco, Princess Grace Hospital addresses health and social concerns and ensures patient safety and confidence by offering high-quality treatment, personalized care and hotel services. Since opening in 1902, the hospital has developed in line with advances in medicine and hospital techniques.
