The journal publishes original scientific papers that contribute to our understanding of the basic mechanisms and clinical aspects of itch (pruritus).

Itch will publish original articles, systematic reviews, commentaries, brief communications, and letters to the Editor. Content ranges from the molecular, genomic, proteomic and systems levels, to clinical diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes research. Articles on itch-related subjects from the disciplines of dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, neuroscience, allergy and immunology, psychology, pharmacology, palliative medicine and epidemiology will be considered for publication.
