Newswise — Andrew Sloan, MD, was awarded the Neuro-Oncology Award at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Congress of Neurological Surgery held September 24 - 28, 2016 in San Diego in recognition of his work on immuno-gene therapy for gliomas. Dr. Sloan directs the Brain Tumor and Neuro-Oncology Center at University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center and holds the Peter D. Cristal Chair of Neurosurgical Oncology. He is also vice chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at UH and a professor of neurosurgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
