Nurse Visits Reduce Child Abuse and Neglect
Cornell UniversityCornell University researchers and colleagues report that nurse home visits to low-income, unmarried women during pregnancy and the first two years of their babies' lives helped reduce child abuse by up to 80 percent. The study appears in this week's issue of JAMA (Sept. 20, 2000).
