'Diamond' Drill Demolishes Methane
University of MinnesotaResearchers at the University of Minnesota and Carnegie-Mellon University have identified a diamond-shaped structure at the active site of bacterial methane monooxygenase. Understanding how the iron-based structure works could help in developing new processes to make plastics and other chemicals, as well as in making methanol.
